Features
One calm place for everything live.
NotchPulse is a live attention layer for your Mac. It turns the notch — or a floating pill on Macs without one — into a single surface where things show up, progress and resolve.
NotchPulse is in development. Coming in v1 marks what’s planned for the 1.0 launch; After v1 · v1.x and Roadmap mark what comes later. See the changelog for what’s built today.
Free is in NotchPulse Free, forever. Pro needs NotchPulse Pro Lifetime — every download includes a 7-day Pro trial. Privacy and security features are never paid features. Compare plans.
AI Center
Know the instant an agent needs you. Coming in v1 Pro
Run Claude Code, Codex and Cursor agents in parallel and stop checking terminals. NotchPulse shows each session as it works, and brings forward the one that’s waiting.
- Claude Code — working, waiting, permission needed and finished, via local hooks.
- Codex CLI — turn complete and “waiting for you”, via Codex’s notify program.
- Cursor — agent runs via Cursor hooks (not editor autocomplete or chat).
- Permission requests expand the island and bring the right terminal forward in one click.
- Status only. Prompts, code and transcripts are never read or uploaded.

Founder mode
A quiet signal when money moves. Coming in v1 Pro
Connect your own Stripe account with a read-only restricted key that stays in your Keychain. See payments as they land, failures when they matter, and today’s revenue at a glance.
- New payments, refunds, failed payments, new and cancelled subscriptions.
- Revenue today and this month (gross, per currency — no guessed exchange rates).
- MRR only when it can be calculated exactly; otherwise we say so.
- Customer names and emails are never displayed. Amounts hide while you present.
Daily
The small things, one hover away. Coming in v1
Useful every day, whether or not you write code. Each one can be turned off, and asks for a permission only when you switch it on.

- FreeCountdown and Join button
Now playing

Low battery, charging state and camera or microphone in use — without any capture permission.

Reactions
A little delight, earned — meet Pip. Coming in v1
Meet Pip, NotchPulse’s tiny original mascot. Pip hops with confetti when an agent finishes, catches coins for a payment, waves off a rocket when production goes live, peeks when something waits for you — and droops when your battery is low. Brief, and never in the way.
- Each reaction lasts about two seconds and never covers text or buttons.
- Preview every reaction in Settings and play it in your notch.
- Respects Reduce Motion: reactions become a still glyph that fades in and out.
- Quiet hours, per-integration toggles and a subtle default intensity.
- Off automatically while you share your screen; nothing ever plays for a failure.
- Anything urgent interrupts a reaction on the same frame.
- FreePolished default reactions
- ProThe full reaction library
Rocket
Production deploy is live.
Coins
A payment arrived.
Celebration
An agent finished its task.

Make it yours
Your notch, your style. Coming in v1 Free
Pick a preset — Classic, Graphite, Midnight, Aurora, Sunset, Forest or Glass — or choose your own colors, gradient, accent, border glow, roundness and size. A live preview shows every change before it reaches your notch. On a MacBook the closed notch stays black so it still matches the camera cutout.
Presets & custom colors
Seven presets or your own background, gradient and accent. Text stays readable on any color.
Shape & size
Square to round, compact to roomy, with a hairline or accent-glow border.
Notifications in the notch
Optional: banners from Messages, Mail, Slack and other apps appear in the notch instead of the corner. Text stays in memory only — never saved or sent anywhere.
Workspaces
The right things, at the right volume. Coming in v1
A workspace decides which sources are visible, how loud they are and which reactions play. NotchPulse can switch for you.
Developer
AI agents, CI, deploys and incidents up front; reactions on.
Founder
Payments, uptime and incidents. A failed payment is important.
Focus
Only urgent things and your timer. Everything else goes quietly to history.
Meeting
Your next call and a Join button. Sensitive details hidden, reactions off.
Automatic switching: a calendar event with a video link starts → Meeting. You start sharing your screen → Meeting, then back. A Pomodoro starts → Focus. Custom workspaces and richer rules are on the Roadmap
- FreeThe Daily workspace
- ProDeveloper, Founder, Focus and Meeting workspaces with automatic switching, plus automation rules
Live Activities API
Your scripts, in the notch. Coming in v1 Free
A command-line tool and a local socket API for scripts, CI, git hooks and agents. Create an activity, update its progress, complete it — and it looks like it belongs.
- Local only: a Unix socket that only processes running as you can reach.
- Optional localhost HTTP API, bound to 127.0.0.1 and off by default.
- Shortcuts actions and Swift, JavaScript and Python SDKs Roadmap
$ notchpulse run --title "Running tests" -- swift test
# tracks the command; completes or fails on its exit statusBuilt for the Mac
Native, light and respectful.
Every Mac, every display
On a MacBook with a notch, NotchPulse lives around it. On other Macs and external displays, it becomes a floating island.
- FreeYour primary display
- ProActive, specific or all displays
Light when idle
Written in Swift. Event-driven, with no busy loops. Our budget: when nothing is happening, it should cost about as much as not running it.
Few permissions
No Input Monitoring or Screen Recording — ever. Calendar and media permissions are asked only when you turn those features on. Accessibility is asked only if you choose to show macOS notifications in the notch.
Safe while presenting
Mark anything as sensitive and it’s hidden while you present. Revenue, project names and error titles are hidden by default.
- FreeAlways — privacy is never a paid feature
Clear island states
Hidden, glance, compact, expanded, attention and celebration. Attention always wins; a celebration never blocks an action you need.
Works offline
After activation your license works offline, indefinitely. An outage on our side never turns off features you paid for.
Launching soon for macOS 14 and later.
Free forever, with 7 days of Pro in every download. Pro Lifetime is a single payment — no subscription.
