CI progress, without the tab.

Push, and keep working. NotchPulse shows your GitHub Actions run job by job, tells you the moment it passes or fails, and links straight to the run.

Coming in v1 Included with NotchPulse Pro

What you’ll see

  • Runs in progress with a progress bar — completed jobs out of total.
  • Passed with a subtle check; failed marked important with an Open run button.
  • Pull requests you authored, merged — with a small merge reaction.
  • Review requested from you, marked important.

How it connects

  • Sign in with GitHub’s device flow — no password or client secret on your Mac. A fine-grained personal access token also works.
  • Read-only access to Actions, checks, pull requests and notifications for the repositories you pick (up to 10 by default).
  • Your Mac polls GitHub directly with conditional requests: every 15 seconds right after a push, every few minutes when idle, never while it sleeps.

What NotchPulse never uploads

  • Repository source code — NotchPulse never reads it.
  • Anything to NotchPulse servers. Run and PR details go from GitHub straight to your Mac.
  • Your GitHub token, which stays in your Keychain.

What it can’t see

  • Not instant: expect 15–60 seconds of delay while active. Webhooks would need a server in the middle, which we’ve chosen not to run in v1.
  • Repositories you haven’t selected.
  • Logs and test output — open the run for those.
