Your license

A license that respects you.

Use NotchPulse Free forever, try Pro for 7 days, and if you buy Pro, pay once and keep it — offline, on up to three Macs. Here’s exactly how it works.

The 7-day Pro trial

The trial starts automatically the first time you open NotchPulse on a Mac. You don’t enter anything, and there’s no automatic charge at the end. There’s one trial per Mac: reinstalling NotchPulse doesn’t start a new one. To enforce that, the trial request includes a one-way, app-specific hash of your Mac’s hardware UUID — never the UUID itself, and it can’t be turned back into it. The privacy policy explains exactly what it is and where it’s kept.

If you’re offline on first launch, the trial starts anyway and is confirmed the next time NotchPulse can reach our server.

Lifetime means lifetime

NotchPulse Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Once a Mac is activated, NotchPulse Pro keeps working on it with no expiry date and no periodic check-in. If our servers are down, your network is offline or your clock is wrong, nothing changes: features you paid for stay on.

Updates for NotchPulse 1.x are included. We’ll publish the exact update policy before launch.

Activating a Mac

  1. Buy NotchPulse. Your license key arrives by email from licenses@notchpulse.app, along with a secure download link.
  2. Open NotchPulse and paste the key. It looks like NP-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
  3. NotchPulse creates a private key for this Mac — in the Secure Enclave where available — and our license server returns a signed entitlement bound to it.

You can edit the device name before activating. Activation never sends your Mac’s serial number, hardware UUID or network addresses.

Up to three Macs

Each Pro license covers up to three personal Macs at a time. To move to a new Mac, free a slot first:

  • On the Mac: Settings → License → Deactivate this Mac.
  • Mac lost, sold or erased? Deactivate it from your account, signed in with a one-time link sent to your purchase email. Or email support@notchpulse.app.

You can reset devices yourself several times a month; if you need more, just ask. A deactivated Mac goes back to NotchPulse Free — your settings and data on it stay put. More in Free up a Mac slot.

Lost your key?

For your security, we don’t store license keys — only a one-way fingerprint of them. That means we can’t re-send your old key. Instead, we issue a new one: request recovery with your purchase email, follow the one-time link, and you’ll get a fresh key by email. Your old key stops working for new activations, but Macs that are already activated keep working without doing anything.

Recover your license

Refunds

If NotchPulse isn’t right for you, request a refund within 14 days of purchase — no reason needed. The license is then revoked through a signed message, and your Macs go back to NotchPulse Free the next time they check in. Refunds never delete your settings, history or data — locally, or by us beyond our normal retention rules.

What the license server knows

Only what’s needed: a fingerprint of your key, your Mac’s public key, the device name you chose, your Mac model and macOS and app versions — and, for the trial, the one-way hash described above. Never what you do with NotchPulse. Details are in the privacy policy.
