NotchPulse

Everything important, live at the top of your Mac.

AI agents, deployments, revenue, files, meetings and system activity — one calm place at the notch that shows what’s happening, what finished and what needs you, without breaking your flow.

Launching soon · Free download with a 7-day Pro trial · Native for macOS 14 Sonoma and later

Illustration of NotchPulse at the top of a MacBook screen — an animated recreation, not a screen recording.

The illustration plays this sequence:

  1. Claude Code is refactoring auth code; the notch shows it as running.
  2. Claude wants to run npm test. The island expands with an orange outline, “Permission needed”, and an Open Terminal button.
  3. Claude finishes; a short celebration plays.
  4. GitHub Actions CI on main progresses from one to four of five jobs, then the build passes.
  5. A Vercel production deployment builds, then “Production is live” with a small rocket.
  6. A $49.00 payment arrives in the user’s own Stripe account with a coin animation, followed by revenue today and this month.
  7. Nothing needs attention, and the notch returns to normal.

How it works

A glance at the top of your screen should tell you what’s happening, what finished, what failed and what needs you. Nothing more.

  1. Connect what you already use

    Add Claude Code hooks, sign in to GitHub, paste a read-only Vercel token or a restricted Stripe key. Credentials go into your Mac’s Keychain and nowhere else.

  2. Keep working

    NotchPulse listens for local events and checks services on a careful budget. When nothing is happening, the notch stays a notch and NotchPulse stays idle.

  3. Glance, act, move on

    Progress shows up quietly. Things that finish get a moment. Things that need you get the island — with one click to the right terminal, run or dashboard.

One language for everything live

Agents, builds and revenue — side by side.

Every source speaks the same NotchPulse Activity: running, waiting, done or failed. Hover the island for everything in flight; the most urgent thing always comes first.

For developers

Anything you can script can live in the notch.

The notchpulse command talks to the app over a local socket only your user account can reach. Send a one-line notice, or create an activity and update it until it’s done.

zsh
$ notchpulse notify "Tests passed"
$ id=$(notchpulse activity create --title "Deploying production" --progress 0.35 --type deployment)
$ notchpulse activity update "$id" --progress 0.8
$ notchpulse activity complete "$id" # plays the deployment rocket

Privacy

NotchPulse knows Claude finished. Not what Claude wrote.

Local-first

Activities, clipboard history, files and notes stay on your Mac. Integrations talk directly from your Mac to GitHub, Vercel or Stripe — never through our servers.

No prompts. No code.

Hooks send the app status only: a title, a state, a source. Prompts, source code, terminal output, diffs and transcripts are never uploaded — to us or anyone.

No analytics

There’s no analytics SDK in the app, and none on this website. Crash reports are opt-in. Our servers only see what’s needed to sell and activate a license.
