Terms
Terms of Sale and License
Draft of September 25, 2026.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and NotchPulse (“we”, “us”) for the use of the NotchPulse software for macOS — NotchPulse Free, the Pro trial and NotchPulse Pro Lifetime — including updates we provide (the “Software”). By buying, installing or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use it.
2. NotchPulse Free and the Pro trial
Free. NotchPulse Free is free of charge, has no expiry and needs no account or payment information. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on Macs you own or control, subject to sections 4 and 10–12. Privacy and security features, and security updates, are never limited to paid users.
Pro trial. Each new installation includes a free trial of NotchPulse Pro for 7 days from first launch. The trial requires no payment information, and there is no automatic charge or conversion to a paid license when it ends. After the trial, the Software continues as NotchPulse Free; no data is deleted. One trial is available per Mac; attempting to reset or extend the trial is a breach of section 4.
3. Your Pro Lifetime license
When you buy NotchPulse Pro Lifetime and we receive your payment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on up to three (3) Macs that you own or control, for as long as you comply with these terms. “Lifetime” means the license is a one-time purchase that does not expire and does not require a subscription. It refers to the life of the license, not a promise that the Software will be maintained or updated forever.
The license is for one person. You may use the Software for personal and professional work, but you may not share a single license between several people.
4. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent, lend or publish your license key, or use it on more Macs than your license allows.
- Circumvent or disable the licensing or trial mechanism, or help anyone else do so.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction.
- Redistribute the Software or offer it as a service to others.
5. Activation and devices
NotchPulse Pro Lifetime must be activated online once per Mac. After activation it works offline without periodic checks. You can deactivate Macs yourself within reasonable limits to move your license to another Mac. We may limit how often devices can be reset to prevent abuse, and can grant more on request.
6. Updates
Your license includes updates to NotchPulse 1.x that we release. We’ll describe the scope of included updates before launch. Security updates are available to all users. We may change, add or remove features in updates.
7. Payment and refunds
NotchPulse Pro Lifetime is a one-time payment; there are no recurring charges. Payments are processed by Stripe. The price is the one shown at checkout when you start it; prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout. A price shown as a founder’s price applies to a limited number of purchases, and a later price change never affects a license you already bought.
14-day money-back guarantee. If NotchPulse isn’t right for you, request a refund by emailing support@notchpulse.app within 14 days of the purchase date. You don’t need to give a reason, and we refund the full amount to your original payment method. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
When a payment is refunded or successfully disputed, the Pro license is revoked: Pro features switch off on your Macs the next time they reach our license server, the Software continues as NotchPulse Free, and the key can no longer be activated. Your data is never deleted as a result.
8. Third-party services
Integrations connect the Software to services you choose, such as GitHub, Vercel, Sentry, Stripe, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, using your own accounts and credentials. Your use of those services is governed by their terms. We are not responsible for them, and changes they make may affect what the Software can show. NotchPulse is not affiliated with or endorsed by these providers.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we process. In short: your content stays on your Mac.
10. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Software will be error-free, that every event from every integration will be shown, or that it will be shown immediately. Don’t rely on NotchPulse as your only alerting system for critical operations.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
12. Termination
If you materially breach these terms, we may revoke your license or trial after telling you why. You can stop using the Software at any time. Sections 4 and 10–14 survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Changes don’t reduce the Pro license you already bought. We’ll post the new version here with its date.
14. Governing law
[To be completed after legal review: governing law, venue and the legal entity that sells NotchPulse.]
